The Pierre Post 8 opening season doubleheader has been postponed for Thursday in Watertown with a rescheduled date already planned. Pierre will now open the season at Brookings on Friday.
The Eights will have to wait just one day longer to get the season underway as Pierre and Watertown will not play tonight in Watertown. With the threat of rain and storms, the games were called off by Watertown and will be rescheduled to be played on Tuesday, June 25 with the same first pitch time. Watertown was coming off playing doubleheaders on both Tuesday and Wednesday going 3-1 against Brookings and Sioux Falls East.
First pitch Friday in Brookings is scheduled for 5:00 with coverage starting at 4:45 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
