The Pierre High School Trap Team will once again be the conference champions winning the Class AA Conference 3 title for the 2024 Trap season while Stanley County would win the Skeet Conference Championships.
Pierre had four of the five highest finishers in the conference on the male side as Treyson Stout averaged a 24 out of 25 to lead all shooters in the conference. Jaxon Jungwirth was third best in the conference averaging a 23.10 and Max Bogenhagen and Wyatt Thielen were tied for fourth averaging 23. Stout also placed second in the Conference 3A skeet shooting averaging a 22.2.
On the female side, Pierre had three of the top five shooters in the conference including the top two. Megan Rose was best in the conference averaging a 21.8 score while Amber Roman was second with a 21. Kaylee Blauert tied for fourth at 20.6 rounding out the top five for Pierre.
For Stanley County, Wyatt Mortenson would finish as the best shooter for skeet with a 23.7 while Witt Myers at 22 and Mason Stoeser at 21.8 were third and fourth best in the conference.
The state tournaments for the Clay Target League will begin on June 7 and run through June 9 in Aberdeen.
