The Pierre Governor golf team had a full team for the first time outside of its home invite as the Governors would score fifth as a team within 15 shots of third place.
Pierre was led by Hadley Hart who would shoot a 17 over par, 89 on Tuesday which was good for 16th place. Annie Mosteller was just a shot behind her at 90 overall tying for 17th and Kiera Mertes another shot back at 91 tying for 19th. Sittie Kasan was still a shot back at 92 tying for 21st as all four were 10 shots within a top ten finish. Drew Rechtenbaugh would be 25 over par, 97 to round out the five golfers for Pierre. Olivia Braun of Aberdeen Central would win the individual title for the invite by six shots. She would be three under par, 69 while teammate Emma Dohrer was three over par, 75.
Aberdeen would win the team score by 14 shots shooting just 20 over par in total. Watertown was second at 34 over par and Pierre finishing in fifth was 74 over par.
Pierre will get back on the course on Thursday with a trip to the Brookings Country Club. Tee time is at 10:00 AM.
