The De Smet Bulldogs will host a slue of teams today, two being the Miller Rustlers and Highmore-Harrold Pirates with a busy track and field weekend set to begin across the state.
Plenty of the area teams will be competing either Friday or Saturday this weekend, but the Rustlers and Pirates will get a jump start traveling east to De Smet. Miller and Highmore-Harold are two of 13 teams competing today as eight will be from Class B and five from Class A. Highmore-Harrold has a quick turnaround after competing in Onida on Tuesday, right back competing in De Smet today. Then the Pirates will travel to the Rotary Relays in Mobridge on Saturday. For Miller, this is the only event of the week.
The invite will take place at De Smet high school today.
