The Pierre Governor girls basketball team is right back on the court tonight as they face the Yankton Gazelles making the longest trip of the season down to Yankton.
After Tuesday’s loss to the Harrisburg Tigers, the Governors only dropped one spot to seventh place, but the Spearfish Spartans are right behind the Govs in the AA standings. The Govs, at 9-5 are looking again for its 10th win of the season facing the 4-8 Gazelles. Yankton began the season at 2-0 but have lost eight of 10, although beating Douglas on Saturday in its latest game. The Govs haven’t had any problems with the Gazelles over the last couple of seasons with a 41 point win last year and 30 point win two years ago.
