PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. A lighter agenda will greet Commissioners tonight. The Commission will consider approval of a three-item consent calendar that includes claims, minutes from the December 5th meeting and setting a public hearing for December 19th at 5:45 pm for a lease with the Central South Dakota Enhancement District. Only five items of new business make up the bulk of the agenda. Commissioners will hear about the Alley’s Santa Saturday event on December 16th and will consider a request to purchase electric meters. The Commission will consider approval of a grant award for volunteer firefighter personal protective equipment; hear the year-end report from Hillsview Golf Course and will consider a U-S Tennis Association Venue Services grant award and Pro-Track and Tennis contract. The meeting will end with Commissioners presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
