Friday afternoon the Pierre Governor cross country team would be in Rapid City as Jared Lutmer continued his strong season with a fifth place finish leading all Governors.
Lutmer would run a 16:02 while Caleb Morris would be in 11th place at 16:28. Haeden Wheelhouse would be in 47th place at 17:45.
On the girls side Devyn Van Roekel would lead the Govs in 20th place with a flat time of 20 minutes even. Harper Shaffer was 31st, Mason Berg 32nd and Jayne Lees 35th all finishing within four seconds of each other at 20:34 to 20:38. Gwen Richter would round out Governors inside the top 50 at 49th at 21:06.
The Governors will travel to Watertown on Thursday this week as one of the final three meets left before the state run.
