The Pierre City Commission approved the request to seek bids for the work. The city is acting as pass-through organization to allow state grant money to be used for the shelter. Finance officer Twila Hoffrogge says the Commission will have to consider a memorandum of understand between the city and Missouri Shores outlining each entities responsibilities and boundaries….
No city revenue is funding construction of the building. Final consideration of the M-O-U will take place at the Pierre City Commission’s next meeting on Tuesday.
