PIERRE — The Hughes County Commission is meeting tonight at the Hughes County Courthouse. The Commission will consider approval of a raffle request for a gun raffle and an emergency solutions grant application for Missouri Shores. The Commission will get an update on a haul road pre-construction report and a request to add nearly five-and-a-half miles of road to that agreement. First consideration will be given to a plat request in the Camelot Addition. The Highway Department will request the purchase of a used mower and a request for a 2021 truck. Commissioners will also consider the 2023 road striping agreement. The County Weed and Pest position is on the agenda along with consideration of an election agreement, budget cash transfers and personnel items at the jail, Treasurer’s Office and State’s Attorney’s office. The Commission will hear reports on jail maintenance, from liaisons and the County Manager. Commissioners will also meet in executive session. The Hughes County Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
