For the final time this season, the Pierre Governors will be hosting a Track and Field Event as today will be the Capital City Qualifier at Hollister Field.
The Governors will be hosting 14 teams today with area teams of Sully Buttes, Stanley County, Lyman and Potter County as the season continues to wind down. The Governors will have just two meets left including the ESD outdoor meet in Brandon Valley this coming weekend. Teams in Class A and B will be competing in the Region meets next week Thursday before the state meet beginning Thursday, May 25. Aberdeen Central and Huron are the lone AA schools joining the Governors at the event this afternoon.
The field events are scheduled to begin at 3:00 and the track events will start at 4:00 at Hollister Field in Pierre.
