PIERRE — The Oahe Family Y-M-C-A announced it’s plan to move forward with a second phase of improvements to it’s complex on Church Street in Pierre. C-E-O Aaron Fabel says the project is more than just an expansion of physical space…
One focus for the expansion is to make it better for youth development programs…
The weight room and track will be expanded in the upper level of the expansion. The expansion will also make it easier for members on the other side of the age scale…
Fabel expects limited member interruptions during the construction but says there may be times, like during electrical work that the facility may have temporary closures. Construction is expected to begin in only a few weeks with completion expected in approximately 13 months. The estimated cost of the Phase II expansion is around seven-million dollars.
