FORT PIERRE — The Stanley County Commission holds it’s March meeting tonight at the Stanley County Courthouse. Commissioners will hear a report on animal damage control and will discuss Pleasant Valley Road. Rick Striker will meet with Commissioners regarding the courthouse building and Fairgrounds Manager Scott Deal with discuss a cement floor in the shop. Lee Smith will come before the Commission for both the Highway Department and Weed and Pest and Commissioners will consider two new hires and county benefits for the Deputy State’s Attorney. Commissioners will also consider four items relating to public safety in the County. They include the Four Corners Fire Department and a camera system for the Hayes Shop. The County along with Fort Pierre and Stanley County law enforcement will discuss the Significant Weather Response and Rescue Plan and a memorandum of understanding with Four Corners Fire on that same plan. Other agenda items include the Hayes Hall storm shelter, abatements and meeting in executive session for three items. The Stanley County Commission meets tonight at five-p.m.
