The Oahe Capitals will have its first game of 2023 as they face one the final two undefeated teams in the league traveling to Rapid City to face the Rushmore Thunder on Saturday.
Rushmore has not played a league game since Dec. 4 which was a weekend sweep of Sioux Center. The Thunder are 4-0 to open the season and have not lost a regular season game since back in the 2020-2021 year. The Caps have only played just three games since then even though two were postponed. Oahe is 6-1 on the season and will be looking to keep pace with the top of the league with a win on Saturday.
Make note the game was originally to be played at 9:00 Central time on Saturday, but the time has changed to be played at 5:00. The game will be on Capital City Rock and on YouTube at Capital City Rock Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
