The Stanley County Buffaloes traveled to Herreid/Selby to face the Wolverines the day after it’s doubleheader with Winner. The Lady Buffs picked up its first win of the year while the boys would fall.
The Lady Buffs picked up a 48-44 win to go to 1-5 on the season. It was their season high in points and exceeded it by 15 points and also held its opponent to a season low 44 points. It was a big step forward for Stanley County who will play an 0-3 Highmore-Harrold on Tuesday.
The Stanley County boys couldn’t get back to .500 as they are now 1-3 on the season with a 63-40 loss to the Wolverines. It’s the Buffs third straight loss as the Wolverines improved to 1-2 on the season. Herried/Selby had lost to McLaughlin and Timber Lake in its first two games. It doesn’t get any easier for Stanley County facing a 3-1 Highmore-Harrold squad on Tuesday.
The doubleheader on Tuesday is scheduled to be played at 6:00 with the girls game first and the boys game to follow all the Parkview Auditorium.
