The Pierre Governors never trailed in any of the three sets against the Rapid City Central Cobblers on Saturday en rout to a sweep with scores at 25-15, 25-9 and 25-11.
The Governors opened up at least a 7-0 lead in all three sets before the Cobblers were able to find a point on the scoreboard as Remi Price would lead the way with five aces in total as the Governors combined for 10 in the win. Ayvrie Kaiser again was the only player in double digit kills as she finished with 11 while Reese Terwilliger was one shy of 10 with nine and Lily Sanchez finished with eight. Makenna Schlekeway had seven, Price had four and Dani Beck had two kills in the first set.
The Governors are now 3-0 on the year and will head out on the road for the first time this season to Box Elder on Thursday to face the Douglas Patriots. First serve is scheduled for 7:30 Central Time.
