The Pierre Governor golf team had two players inside the top five and as a team are in second place after the first day of the Warrior-Lynx Invite.
Luke Olson shot an even round on Monday to lead all Pierre Governors as he is just seven shots off the lead through the first day of competition of the 2022 season. Sawyer Sonnenschein is right behind him, just one shot over par, 72, tied for fourth overall. Nick Bothun is a shot outside of the top ten as he is tied for 11th at six over, 77. Lincoln Houska shot a 10 over 81, Jack Bartlett shot an 89 and Charlie Simpson rounded out the Governors at a 94.
As a team Pierre is behind only O’Gorman as they are 12 shots back with the Knights having shot just a plus five on the entire day as a team. Pierre is four shots ahead of Watertown and nine shots better than Harrisburg heading into the second day of the invite.
