This weekend the U16 South Dakota Dynamo will be back at the National Cup in Commerce, Colorado looking to defend its crown.
South Dakota United has five Pierre soccer players on this year’s team. Ryann Barry, Ireland Templeton, Grace Richter, Brianna Sargent and Gracelyn Taylor all will be looking for a national championship as four of the five played on last year’s national championship team.
SDU dominated its way through the Regional tournament in Chicago outscoring its opponents 25-1 in five games including winning the championship 7-0 to qualify for the National Cup.
This weekend, the Dynamo will have three guaranteed games Thursday through Saturday with all games at 9:30 AM Central Time. They will have to finish as a top two seed in its pool to qualify for the semifinals which will be played on Sunday morning at 11:30 AM. The championship match is scheduled for Monday, July 18 at 9:30.
