PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting for the final time in June tonight. A proclamation will be made in special business for Park and Recreation Month in July before considering approval of a five-item consent calendar. Commissioners will consider approval of a street closure request for the Street Master’s car club Gravity Drags on Church Street, from Jefferson to Nicollet on August 13th from eight AM to noon. The Commission will consider a request to bid for 2023 water materials and a request to apply for an F-A-A Grant to fund work on a runway at Pierre Regional Airport. Also on the agenda is an airport DBE program update, a request to purchase an airport ARFF cart and a request to surplus property from Rawlins Library. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm in the Commission chambers of the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
