Jayce Pugh of Miller is sitting in the lead after the first day completed at Hart Ranch in Rapid City while Bison/Hettinger/Scranton lead the first day as a team.
Pugh shot a five over, 77 which is a four shot advantage for the Class B girls state championship. Jones County’s Kamri Kittleson is five shots behind Pugh in third place. Neva Mikkelson of Potter County is in fifth place shooting an 86. Sully Butte’s Olivia Olson has also cracked the top ten of area golfers as she shot an 89 over the day. The Chargers’ Berkley Birney shot a 103 after the first day.
