The Pierre Governors wrapped up the regular season on Tuesday completing the ESD invite at Hillsview Golf Course in Pierre. The Govs finished in fifth place as a team.
Pierre shot a plus 52, 340 Tuesday which was 25 shots off Aberdeen Central who took home first place with a 315. Pierre was just 18 shots behind second place Harrisburg and 13 shots behind Mitchell.
Senior Haley Nadeau finished tied for 15th place at 12 over, 84. Ellie Jo Simpson, Pierre’s other senior was just a shot behind at 13 over, 85 as was Madilyn Brakke as three Governors finished inside the top 20. Hadley Hart was 24th at 86, Andrea Mosteller and Morgan Lisburg each shot an 89 for Pierre. Reese Jansa of Harrisburg would win the ESD title shooting a two under, 70. Jansa finished four shots ahead of second place Olivia Braun of Aberdeen Central.
The Governors will have 13 days off between invites before heading to the state tournament on June 6-7 in Brookings.
