BLUNT — The South Dakota Department of Transportation will be picking up where it left off last fall with road construction work along sections of U-S Highways 14 and 83 in Hughes and Sully Counties. The project is a continuation of a pavement rehabilitation project near the Blunt junction. Crews will reestablish gravel shoulders from the Blunt junction north on Highway 83 to Onida and east on Highway 14 to mile post 254. Approximately one mile is left to repair on Highway 83 with five miles on Highway 14. During the work, flaggers and pilot cars will be in use to guide traffic through the work zones. Drivers should be alert and vigilant when traveling through the work zone. The work should take three to four weeks to complete. Work will begin on Monday April 4th.
