It was five years in the making for Lathan Prince. The Stanley County Buffalo standout, in his final season with the Buffs, is a Class A third team all-state basketball player.
For the last several years, Prince has been the quarterback for the Buffalo basketball team which is no surprise since he’s also been the quarterback for the football. Prince averaged 17.5 points a game, highest on Stanley County and the second highest on the All-State third team. He shot very well throughout the season at a 38% field goal percentage and nearly 37% from long range. He was also an 82% free throw shooter which is the third highest in all three All-State teams.
