Pierre Wrestling Qualifies All 14 for State Tournament

All 14 Pierre Governor wrestlers qualified for the state tournament on Saturday as 11 of the 14 wrestlers competed in the championship matches while the other three Governors were in the third place contests.

Six Governors won their weight classes as Alex Oedekoven in the 106, Blake Judson in 138, Deegan Houska in the 152, Jayden Wiebe in the 160, Lucas Chamberlain in the 170 and Chance Carda in the 182 all took home first place in the region tournament.

Nate Williams, Tristan Spencer and Josh Rydberg all won their third place matches.

You can see a full list of the results below.. The Governors will be at the state tournament on Thursday, Friday and Saturday next week. KCCR will have updates throughout the tournament for Class A and Class B.
