After falling 3-1 Saturday night to the Rushmore Thunder, the Oahe Capitals came back on Sunday to defeat the Aberdeen Cougars 6-4 for a weekend split at home.

Andre Carbonneau made it quickly 2-0 for the Caps and in the second period, Dre Berndt, Griese and Beastrom all scored with Griese and Beastrom scoring on the power play to lead 5-1 after two period. The Cougars would climb back into the game to make it 5-4 scoring with 37 seconds left with an extra attacker, but as Griese won the ensuing faceoff, Jarron Beck flipped the puck from center ice into the empty net to seal the win. Schulz made 39 saves in net for his fourth win of the year. Griese had two goals and two assists in the game for the Caps.
