A day after the boys basketball teams played in Pierre, the Governor and Kernel girls teams will be in Mitchell for its ESD matchup.
The Governors ran out of time trying to mount a comeback against Lakota Tech on Tuesday and fell just short with a five point loss as the record slipped to 2-5 on the season. The Mitchell girls, though, continue to struggle as they are 1-6 on the season and have not won a game against a South Dakota opponent. Mitchell is 0-5 in ESD games and the Governor girls will be looking to keep Mitchell without a win against the ESD and against South Dakota teams. Lennix Dupris, Ayvrie Kaiser and Reese Terwilliger have all hit career highs in the last two Governor games.
