Carlie O’Connor, Jordyn Sosa and Taylee Stroup lead the Stanley County Lady Buffalo team as the three seniors looking for a successful season to close out their careers. The season begins Tuesday facing Chamberlain at home.
The Lady Buffaloes are looking to make the state tournament for the first time since 2008 as Keely Bracelin begins her second season in charge of the squad. Cadence Hand, Kori Gabriel and Mattie Duffy return with experience for the Lady Buffs. Stanley County opens the season with two straight home games as they face Lyman on Friday.
The Chamberlain Cubs have already played its first game of the season dropping a 49-47 contest to the Wall Eagles. A senior heavy squad has seven upperclassmen, but just two juniors on this year’s team. Chamberlain will be looking to get its first win on Tuesday.
Varsity is scheduled to tip at 7:45 from the Parkview Auditorium in Ft. Pierre.
