The Pierre Governor volleyball team had no problem on Friday night knocking off the Sturgis Scoopers in straight sets with a 25-9, 25-20 and 25-17 sweep.
The Governors had no problem in the first set controlling the entire way opening up a 6-0 lead before the Scoopers were able to get on the board. Sturgis would hang around in the second set but never lead falling 25-20. However, Sturgis would lead for the majority of the beginning of the third set up until it was 12-12. Pierre would take over and outscore the Scoopers 13-5 the rest of the way. Governors had Ayvrie Kaiser and Makenna Schlekeway in double digit kills to lead Pierre to a 6-0 record.
