Wednesday afternoon, the All-State selections were released for the 2021 American Legion Season. Pitcher, Jack Van Camp, was Pierre Post 8’s lone representative.
Van Camp went 5-4 in 2021 with a 1.19 ERA. He picked up a save out of a rare relief appearance early on in the season. He struck out 61 hitters in 41 innings throughout the season. He joins fellow pitchers Will Simmons and Chase Mason of Harrisburg, Reece Arbogast of Renner, Nick Lounsbery of Sioux Falls East and Camden Gabois of Sioux Fall West on this year’s All-State team. Mason is the lone selection as both a pitcher and a hitter.
