The Pierre Soccer teams will be looking for a continued offensive outburst as they open the season at home on Thursday against Sioux Falls Roosevelt.
The Governors girls team scored a combine 12 goals while the boys had a total of nine in two games for each team. Both offenses are obviously off to better starts as the girls defense has been solid with two shutouts while the boys picked up a shutout win on Friday.
The Roughriders girls team picked up a win 5-2 over Jefferson in its only game of the season so far while the boys lost to Jefferson 2-1.
