PIERRE — The Hughes County Commission is meeting tonight at the Hughes County Courthouse. Commissioners will consider three planning and zoning items including first consideration of plat and plans for Blue Water Acres, first consideration of a plat in Shamrock Addition and a building permit update for an address on Cyrus Place. A petition for a City of Pierre Conditional Use Permit will come before Commissioners along with first reading of an ordinance adjusting the speed limit on Spring Creek Road. Personnel items, a right-of-way request and an order of organization for the Royal Ridge Estates are also up for considerate by the Commission. Commissioners will consider hunting preserve liquor license renewals, step increases, a surplus property sale and discussions on the budget and employee bonuses before considering the claims and hearing reports.
