The Pierre Trappers fell 7-2 in the finale of the quick two game series in Spearfish to the Sasquatch as the playoff hopes are diminishing.
Charles McAdoo and Theo Hardy drove in a combined five runs for the Sasquatch each going 2-4 at the plate. Jacob Griffin gave the Trappers its only RBI in the contest with a groundout in the third inning tying the game at 1-1. Spearfish answered in the bottom of the third with an RBI single from McAdoo and Jacob Sanchez scoring on a wild pitch with former Post 22 Hardhat, Ryan Bachmann at the plate. Nathan June was the losing pitcher on the night, giving up six hits and four earned runs over five innings of work.
The Trappers are now 6-17 in the second half of the season while the Sasquatch pull within a game of the Fremont Moo for first place in the Clark Division as they sit at 15-8. Pierre returns home for a two day, three game series with the Western Nebraska Pioneers. First pitch tonight is scheduled for 7:05 at Hyde Stadium.
