PHILIP — A 23 year-old man was killed Saturday morning in a single vehicle roll-over crash in Haakon County. The crash happened around 7:45 am, 10 miles northwest of Phillip on East Grindstone Road. The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo was traveling west on East Grindstone Road when the driver lost control. The vehicle then went into the north ditch then into the south ditch where it rolled over. The 23 year-old driver was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the car. The driver died at the scene. The name of the driver is not being released until family members have been notified. The driver was the only person involved in the crash. The Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate.
