The Pierre Governor Golf team exceled in the Brandon invite on Tuesday as the team finished in first place with Haley Nadeau picking up first overall as the Govs start its busy week on a high note.
Nadeau shot a 15 over par, 86 for the individual win which was a shot better than second place and four in front of third. Ellie Jo Simpson was fifth on the day while Hadley Hart finished in seventh and Madilyn Brakke was tied tenth so all four Governor scorers were in the top ten on the afternoon.
Today, Pierre will play for the final time before the state golf meet beginning next Monday and running through Tuesday, June 7-8. Swiden says still being able to play in the ESD is good because any experience will go a long ways…

The invite is scheduled to tee off at 10:00 in Mitchell. The state meet is scheduled to be played in Sioux Falls.
