PIERRE, (KCCR) — Once again, a lighter agenda greets the Pierre City Commission tonight for the group’s last regular meeting in April. In special business, the Commission will learn more about additional flights at Pierre Regional Airport. The Commission will consider approval of an eight-item consent calendar. The calendar includes minutes and claims, raffle requests filed by the Right Turn and the T-F Riggs Clay Target Team, three new hires in the recreation department, library and Central South Dakota Communications and setting a public hearing for June 3rd at 5:45 pm for a temporary liquor license request filed for Oahe Days. Three items of new business make up the balance of the agenda. Commissioners will get an update on the Capital City Band, the introduction of a plat of lots in the Brookstone Addition and 2024 budget carryforwards. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue items they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
