The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes was supposed to open the first ever season on the road today against Mount Vernon/Plankinton, but the game has been postponed due to weather.
The Lady Buffaloes are starting its season later than anybody else as its the first ever season for Stanley County while the state has sanctioned softball for the last two years. The Lady Buffs have just five games on the schedule with two at home. The Lady Buffs will now have its first ever game whihc will be the first home game scheduled for next week Thursday against Mobridge-Pollock. Keely Bracelin is the head coach of the inaugural team, who played college softball at Northwestern in Orange City, Iowa. The roster is young for Stanley County as Camryn Norman, Brylee Kafka and Raegan Taylor are the only three seniors. Stanley County has just one junior and one sophomore with four freshman, one eighth grader and four seventh graders. Bracelin says the three seniors are planting seeds for Stanley County softball…
