The Pierre Governor softball team would get its first win of the season on Tuesday in a big way, beating the Golden Eagles 16-0 in three innings at home.
The Governors scored six runs in the first, but then stormed out with 10 in the second and held Aberdeen Central without a hit as Noel Kist would get a three inning no-hitter with four strikeouts. Aberdeen Central had nine errors in the loss which allowed all 16 runs to be unearned against the pitching staff. Amber Roman and Elly Broers each had two hits while Roman and Aliyah Erickson had a double and Alivia Heymans had a triple. Roman and Charlie Hull each had two RBIs in the win for the Governors. The Governors improve to 1-3 with the win while the Golden Eagles fall to 0-5.
