The Pierre Governors broke away to two meets on Tuesday with some of the team traveling to Sioux Falls for the Jefferson Quad and the other in Onida for the Charger Invite.
At Jefferson, Pierre rattled off 20 wins on the day as the girls would see wins from Kali Ringstmeyer in the 100 and 200 meters, Charlee Williams-Smith in the 400 meters, Devyn Van Roekel in the 800 and Emery Larson in the 3200. Brooke Hansen would win the 100 meter hurdles, Sorrinne Ekle the shot put, Amara Dell the high jump, Lennix DuPris the long jump and Emlyn Swanson the triple jump. Pierre also had three relay wins as Swanson, Williams-Smith, Hansen and Ringstmeyer would win the 4×100, DuPris, Hansen, Allyson Bauer and Josephine Wurtz the 4×200 and Wurtz, Bauer, Swanson and DuPris in the 4×400. For the boys in Sioux Falls, Carson Stoeser would win the 100 meters, Jim Neddo the 3200 meters, EJ Boutchee the shot put throw, Colter Babcock the javelin and McCoy Carey the triple jump. The team of Karson Walti, Carter Schiefelbein, Carter Merrill and Eladio Simental would win the 4×100 and Walti, Corde Austin, George Rapp and Steven Blanchette would win the 4×200.
In Onida, Pierre’s best finish would come from Elly Broers in the shot put throw placing second while Will Danburg would be second in the 200 meters. Danburg also was third in the 400 meters and fourth in the 100 meters. Jaden Ottenbacher, Logan Witte, Everett Norton and Hekmat Ghaznavi would place third in the 4×100 relay and Laela Kost would get fourth in the 400 meters.
