PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Another light agenda sees a short, three-item consent calendar and four items of new business for Commissioners to mull. On the calendar are claims, minutes from the April 15th meeting at two new volunteer firefighter dive team applicants. In new business, Commissioners will consider approval of five temporary special event liquor licenses. They are for events on April 24th, May 10th, June 21st and 28th and July 26th. The Commission will consider approval of an airport lease for Dakota Pro Air and a request to abate property taxes filed by the Pierre Economic Development Corporation for two lots on East Sully Avenue. Also on the agenda is an amendment to the construction administration services agreement the city has with H-D-R Engineering for the Euclid Avenue Utilities Improvement Project. The meeting will close with Commissioners presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
