
FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is holding it’s second monthly meeting tonight because of the Easter holiday Monday. The Council will hear updates from city officials before getting into the main agenda. A public hearing will be held for a temporary liquor license for an event at the Stanley County Fairgrounds on May 3rd. A proclamation for Arbor Day will be made before the Council considers approval of a pay application for the Tatanka Trail pedestrian bridge project. The Council will set two public hearings for May 19th for temporary liquor license requests by the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center and authorization will be considered for the hiring of summer staff. Council members will consider approval of medical cannabis license renewals for Bad River Cannabis and Bad River Farms. Ultimate approval is contingent on state license approval and renewal of conditional use permits. The Council will get an update on Ninth Avenue and from the Stanley County School District on the Track and Football Field project. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at six pm at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room.
