PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting will start with a proclamation for National Public Safety Telecommunications week before considering approval of a four item consent calendar. On the calendar are minutes, claims, a new hire and a raffle request for Countryside Support and Memory Care. A public hearing is scheduled for 5:45 pm for a temporary malt beverage license for the Lake Sharpe Showdown in Steamboat Park. Meanwhile, the Pierre Area Chamber will present event requests to the Commission for the Lake Sharpe Showdown and National Walleye Tour event during the last weekend of April. Commissioners will consider two requests to bid. One is for 2025 precast concrete and the second for phase One-B of electrical distribution improvements. The Commission will also consider a change order by Morris Incorporated for the Runway 13-31 project at Pierre Regional Airport. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
