PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre School Board is meeting tonight at the District Administration Building on Poplar Avenue. The Board will recognize the T-F Riggs ProStart Team and Georgia Morse Acalympic Team before considering approval of the seven-item consent calendar and hearing comments from Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt. Any board and public comments will follow along with an update from the Riggs Student Senate. An update on the Pierre School Board election will be presented along with final reading and action on a Language Arts curriculum recommendation. Two board policies are on the agenda. One is first reading of a revision to the facility use rate policy and the second is final reading of revisions to the District’s Criminal Background Check policy. The Board will consider a resolution for renewal of the South Dakota School District Benefits Health Fund for the next school year and approval of an amended negotiated agreement for certified employees. Other agenda items include considering a contract for a construction manager at-risk, open enrollments, donations, resignations, contracts, fleet card services and a mini-bus service request for proposal. The Pierre School Board meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
