The Pierre Governor Track and Field team would pick up another seven wins at the Huron Invite on Friday, which included breaking another school record.
The team of Emlyn Swanson, Charlee Williams-Smith, Brooke Hansen and Kali Ringstmeyer would set a school record at the Bob Judson Invite on Tuesday in Pierre in the 4×100. Friday, the team of Swanson, Williams-Smith, Ringstmeyer and Josephine Wurtz would set the school record for the 4×200 with a time of 1:44.44. Williams-Smith would also win the 100 meters, Ringstmeyer the 200 meters and Swanson the 400 meters. Gwen Richter would win the 800 meter run while Emery Larson would win both the 1600 and 3200 meter runs. Allyson Bauer, Richter, Hansen and Devyn Van Roekel would place second in the 4×400 while Addison Bass, Marena Buschbom, Reed Curry and Elaina Rounds would get second in the sprint medley relay race. Lennix DuPris would place second in the long jump while Maddie Merrill was third in the triple jump. Hansen was also third in the 100 meter hurdles.
On the boys side, three would get a combined four second place finishes. Karson Walti was second in the 100 meters while Eladio Simental was second in the 200 meters and Caleb Morris was second in both the 1600 meter and 3200 meter runs. Lincoln Dilges was third in the 110 meter hurdles while the team of Tryon Parmely, Jim Neddo, Daniel Mason and James Stolley were third in the 4×800 relay race. Carter Nortern, Simental, George Rapp and Carson Stoeser were third in the 4×400. Elijah Boutchee also had a third place finish in the javelin.
You can see a full list of the results below. Pierre will host the Lil Gov’s Track and Field Meet on Monday, April 14. Registration starts at 5:30 at Hollister Field. Pierre’s next varsity meet is on Thursday, April 17 in Rapid City for the Track-O-Rama.
