The Team South Dakota 16U girls would drop a 5-4 decision on Friday to Belle Tire, Michigan after having a 3-0 and 4-2 lead in the game, being eliminated from the tournament.
Emma Honner of Sioux Falls and Rushmore’s Anna Larson each had two goals in the loss as Team South Dakota led 2-0 after the first and 3-2 after two periods. Three goals in two minutes for Belle Tire in the third period would give them the first lead of the game and be able to hold on for the win. South Dakota finished winless at 0-2-1 in the three games, but only were outscored 10-6 in the tournament,
For Team SD, Oahe was represented by Elliot Bertsch, Katie Reiss, Kallee Behm and Raegan Pfeifer.
