PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. A short meeting is on tap for the Commission with an extensive consent calendar, one item of unfinished business and two items of new business. The consent calendar includes 10 items, with meeting minutes and claims, new hires in the Police, Street, Water, Park and Engineering Departments. Setting a public hearing for a temporary malt beverage license for the Lake Sharpe Showdown and raffle requests for Countryside Hospice and Oahe Days are also a part of the consent calendar. A public hearing will be held at 5:45 pm or the city’s Solid Waste Management program application amendment for the Landfill Cell Four project. In new business, the Commission will be updated on new equipment for Oahe T-V and discussing will take place surrounding the upcoming Easter holiday. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
