The South Dakota Golf Course Superintendent Association has recognized two Pierre individuals for their contributions to golf course management in the state, Bryan Tipton and Jordan Steiner.

The Professional Service Award is given to someone who has shown dedication to the industry through education, experience and involvement with the SDGCSA. Tipton was previously the Superintendent of Hillsview Golf Course. Tipton has more than 20 years of experience as a golf course superintendent.
The Young Professional Award is also given to someone who has shown a commitment to the industry through education, experience and involvement with the association. Steiner has been the Superintendent of the golf course for the last three years and has been at the Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort and senior golf course maintenance position at Hillsview.
