FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Stanley County GOLD program is now under the banner of the Boys and Girls Club of America. Steve Steele, C-E-O of the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Area says the process began last fall…
Steele says 88 kids are registered for the GOLD program with an average daily attendance of 67 per day. The kids have logged over 100 hours of community service work…
The GOLD Program has been recognized as a Boys and Girls Club site since February and Steele says that could open up more grant opportunities….
The current 21st Century grant funding the GOLD program is in the first of possibly five years. Steele says he hopes the GOLD Program will be able to survive with or without the 21st Century grant.
