
FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is holding two meetings of sorts tonight. The Council will convene as the local Board of Equalization to consider one parcel at 5:30 pm. At six pm the full Fort Pierre City Council will meet. City officials will give reports to the Council before getting into the main agenda. A proclamation will be made for Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and Traumatic Brain Injury Month. Steve Steele will update the Council on the Stanley County GOLD Program and the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Area. Two resolutions are up for consideration tonight. One is for records destruction and the second for bad debt. The Council will consider a change order on the maintenance yard project and wil consider the hiring of some summer staff. Other agenda items include authorizing the purchase of equipment from Kubota and the surplussing of equipment. Approval of an electrical license, an update on the Stanley County School athletic field project and a resignation is on the agenda. Both meetings will be held at the South Dakota Municipal League building.
