Pierre Governor senior, Lennix DuPris would help the Pierre Governors secure a 46-39 win on Friday over the Brandon Valley Lynx in the SoDak 16 to advance to the state tournament. In doing so, DuPris also eclipsed 1000 points for her career.
DuPris has started for the Governors for four years in Pierre and this year alone, DuPris is average 18 points per game and has nearly reached 400 points. DuPris has been the facilitator of the offense while scoring, rebounding and the most assists per game for the team. DuPris says she had an idea she was close to reaching 1000 points…
However, once the basket went in to reach 1000, DuPris really didn’t have much emotion or thoughts about it…
