
PIERRE, (KCCR) — A Colorado woman has been sentenced to 23 years in prison on federal drug charges. U-S Attorney Alison Ramsdell says 34 year old Rikki Renee Barrowman of Denver will serve five years and 11-months in the custody of the U-S Marshals Service and serve five years of probation after release. Barrowman was indicted on a charge of Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance in February of 2024. She pleaded guilty last December. Ramsdell says the conspiracy Barrowman was involved in started in January of 2021 and lasted until July of 2022. The extensive conspiracy distributed methamphetamine across western and central South Dakota including the Pine Ridge, Rosebud and Cheyenne River Sioux Reservations and around Pierre and Rapid City. Approximately 65 kilograms of meth was involved in the conspiracy with Barrowman supplying the drugs from Denver . Barrowman would supply the drugs to individuals who would take it to South Dakota. Drug exchanges for firearms were included in the conspiracy.
