The postseason begins tonight three days later than expected as the Stanley County Buffaloes, the second seed in Region 6A, will host the Crow Creek Chieftains in Fort Pierre.
The two teams met this year at the end of January with the Buffaloes picking up the 66-49 win over Crow Creek in Fort Pierre. The two were scheduled to meet on Tuesday, but winter weather postponed the game. Tonight, the two teams meet again with the season on the line. Stanley County finished the regular season at 15-5 and won four of five with only a buzzing beating three of the one loss in the final five games of the year. Crow Creek is coming in at 7-13 and the bottom seed in Region 6A. The Chieftains lost eight of nine to head into the postseason including a 100-33 to St. Francis Indian on February 21. Crow Creek will not have played a game in two weeks when they step on the court tonight. The winner of tonight’s game will face the winner of Mobridge-Pollock and Chamberlain on Saturday.
Tip off is at 5:00 from the Parkview Auditorium in Fort Pierre tonight.
